Job summary

Oleon is hiring a Process Engineer for our Conroe, Texas plant. You will monitor and analyze process parameters, troubleshoot upsets, and help develop operating procedures to improve safety, quality and efficiency.

The role includes leading capital and improvement projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting new product introductions, and sharing best practices with Oleon’s global colleagues to drive performance and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 3–7 years of experience in chemical process engineering, preferably in esterification, batch/continuous operations, or specialty chemicals.
  • Experience in PSM-covered processes strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to capital project execution and process control systems (DCS/PLC).
  • Experience working with global or multi-site teams a plus.
  • Knowledge of reaction engineering, heat transfer, and separation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, and Production) to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical support for new product introductions and process scale-ups.
  • Partner with Oleon’s global process engineering, operations, and R&D teams to share knowledge, align on technical standards, and leverage best practices.
  • Participate in global working groups and contribute to initiatives that enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability across Oleon sites.
  • Participate in hazard reviews (PHA/HAZOP), MOC (Management of Change), and root cause investigations.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance process safety management (PSM) and environmental performance.

The Job
