Process Engineer (Automation & Maintenance Support)

We are seeking a Process Engineer to supportautomated manufacturing operations for a leading medical device manufacturer inNorth Carolina. This position will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, supporting production operations, troubleshooting process issues,and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a highly regulatedmanufacturing environment.
The selected candidate will provide technical and engineeringsupport for automated filling, labeling, and formulation systems whilecollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, andcompliant operations.
- Support and executescheduled preventive maintenance activities on automated manufacturingequipment.
- Troubleshoot equipmentand process-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain productionschedules.
- Provide technicalsupport during line operation, including equipment adjustments and processoptimization.
- Assist with mechanicalline changeovers and equipment setup activities.
- Support spare partsmanagement activities, including inventory monitoring and availability ofcritical components.
- Investigate equipmentfailures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze equipmentperformance and identify opportunities for reliability and efficiencyimprovements.
- Collaborate withOperations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve technicalchallenges.
- Ensure all activitiesare conducted in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accuratedocumentation of maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement activities.

Experience supporting, maintaining, or troubleshooting thefollowing equipment is desirable:
- Shibuya Filling Systems
- Optima Filling Systems
- Formulation Tank FarmSystems
- Herma Labeling Equipment
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Willing to work in North Carolina
- Bachelor's Degree inMechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience supportingautomated manufacturing, packaging, filling, or production equipment.
- Strong troubleshootingand root cause analysis skills.
- Experience withpreventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices.
- Ability to workeffectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication andproblem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within thepharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or life sciences industries.
- Familiarity withGMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience working withhighly automated production systems.
- Knowledge of spare partsmanagement and inventory control.
- Lean Manufacturingand/or Continuous Improvement experience.
