Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to work in a Minnesota-based industrial plant environment. You will deliver designs and engineering packages for process facilities and coordinate scope with customers and offshore teams.

Responsibilities include preparing PFDs and P&IDs, performing mass/energy balances and hydraulic calculations, and selecting equipment such as pumps and heat exchangers.

Qualifications

• Experience as Process Engineer in industrial plants (chemical, pharma, or related).
• Ability to prepare and understand PFDs, P&IDs, and balance calculations.
• Understand heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mass transfer basics.
• Able to specify process plant equipment and select major components.
• Capable of specifying pumps, exchangers, tanks and other equipment.
• Experience with safety devices and process safety management.
• Sanitary piping & process systems experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is beneficial.
• Familiarity with hydraulic software (e.g., AFT Fathom/Arrow) is a plus.

Job description

Responsibilities of Role: Handling LPG and propellants systems inspection, commissioning and decommissioning is must

Responsibilities of Process engineer is following – but not limited to:

• Work as an onsite Process Engineer in a process plant environment
• Deliver designs and Engineering packages related to process engineering for industrial plants.
• Define the scope of work discussing with customer, coordinate with the offshore team and deliver the engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with customer to collect all the required inputs to complete the engineering design.
• Coordinate with vendors and construction team to get the required information for completing the design and technical evaluation of vendor quotations.
• Information collection from plant
• Attend design reviews along with customer and the construction team and get the necessary approvals.
• Support in construction and start up activities.
• Support start-up activities as needed.

Skills Required

• Should have worked as a Process Engineer for industrial plants (Chemical, Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Fine chemicals, Specialty chemicals, Food & Beverages)
• Ability to prepare and understand PFD, P&IDs, mass & energy balance calculation, hydraulic calculations without any supervision
• Understand basic chemical engineering fundamentals like heat transfer, fluid mechanics, solid handling, mass transfer etc.
• Should be able to specify process plant equipment and hands on experience in selection of equipment as per project requirement
• Should be able to specify pump, heat exchanger, tank and other equipment independently
• Experience in selection of safety devices and process safety management activities
• Previous work experience in sanitary piping & process systems would be a plus
• Conversant with MS office application is must and knowledge on AutoCAD would be a plus.
• Familiarity with AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow and any other hydraulic calculation software will be added advantage
