Job summary

Nextern in Minnesota is seeking a Process Development Technician to support development, optimization and transfer of new products, processes and technologies within our manufacturing environment.

You will build product through all phases, design fixturing, install equipment, draft procedures, and solve problems as part of a collaborative team. We offer health, retirement, PTO, and more with a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 5+ years in process development tech.
  • Experience in a cleanroom environment is required.
  • Mechanical or electrical production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build product through all phases of Product Realization in a cleanroom and general manufacturing environment.
  • Assist in fixturing design and equipment procurement.
  • Install and maintain equipment/fixturing.
  • Use manual and/or automated measurement tools.
  • Draft and optimize manufacturing procedures.
  • Diagnose and solve problems with complex systems.

Primarily responsible for supporting the development, optimization and transfer of new products, processes and technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build product through all phases of Product Realization in both a cleanroom and general manufacturing environment
  • Assist in the design of fixturing and procurement of equipment
  • Installing and maintaining equipment / fixturing
  • Utilize manual and/or automated measurement equipment/tools.
  • Accurately draft and optimize manufacturing procedures
  • Proficient at solving problems in a timely manner
  • Understands cause and effect as it pertains to process development
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of process development technician experience
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • Mechanical or electrical production experience
  • Must be self-motivated, ambitious and able to work effectively on a team
  • Strong experimental and hands-on technical skills
  • Ability to diagnose and solve problems with complex systems
Preferred:
  • Medical component or device manufacturing is preferred

Salary range: $27 to 33/hr depending on skills and experience
