First Solar Inc. seeks a leader to direct Process Development laboratory operations supporting technology development, pilot process evaluation, and solar cell research.

You will manage a team of technicians, ensure safe, repeatable execution, and translate engineering goals into technician procedures. Typically requires extensive experience in semiconductor or related labs, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Formación

• Ability to effectively communicate priorities across technicians, engineering, management.
• Establish and maintain execution discipline for repeatable results.
• Translate engineering intent into practical operational plans and technician instructions.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor, thin-film, solar cell, vacuum/thermal/laser processing, metrology.
• Strong situational judgment in high-hazard environments.
• Guide operation crew through first-level tool diagnosis and repair.

Responsabilidades

• Lead daily execution of technology development activities aligning technicians, capacity, equipment, and priorities.
• Continuously improve laboratory execution systems while maintaining quality, safety, and data integrity.
• Partner with engineers to convert processes into detailed procedures for technicians.
• Own execution quality by monitoring adherence and reducing variation.
• Support introduction of new technologies with training plans and controls.
• Drive equipment readiness and reliability; coordinate troubleshooting with experts.
• Partner with Process Development engineers to improve throughput and quality.
• Develop long-term laboratory capabilities through training and qualification standards.
• Other duties as assigned; role subject to change.
