Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or a related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
  • Experience developing or improving manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working closely with manufacturing and production teams.
  • Understanding of design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principles.
  • Experience developing process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction or manufacturing launches preferred.
  • Experience with automation or production equipment improvements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Support production line setup, workflow, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing layouts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, quality, safety, and consistency.
  • Support new product introduction and the transition of designs from engineering into production.
  • Apply design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principles.
  • Develop process documentation, work instructions, manufacturing standards, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing, assembly, and production issues.
  • Support process validation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturability.
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support automation, tooling, and equipment improvement projects.
  • Assist with developing scalable manufacturing processes as production volume increases.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Support the implementation of standardized production methods and best practices.

The Process Development Engineer will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for a growing Houston manufacturing operation. This role will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams to develop efficient, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing processes from design through production.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment
  • Experience developing or improving manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working closely with manufacturing and production teams
  • Understanding of design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principles
  • Experience developing process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards
