Job summary

ManpowerGroup's client, a wastewater resource recovery organization, seeks a Process Control System Analyst to join the OT team in Elk Grove, CA. Support real-time plant control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA) and collaborate with OT programmers and operations staff.

This role emphasizes documentation, CMMS tracking, and clear communication with internal customers. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred plus strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in administration/operations/maintenance of industrial control systems (DCS/SCADA/PLC).
• Experience supporting Windows-based OS, patch management and maintenance.
• Ability to administer Windows Enterprise Domain, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to communicate with internal customers to diagnose problems.
• Experience maintaining asset inventories and CMMS for process control systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and operate PCCS including DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.
• Diagnose and correct database and system issues by configuring database parameters for DCS/SCADA/PLC environments.
• Maintain backup and archive processes for process control systems and related databases.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software failures across DCS/SCADA/PLC and networked environments.
• Document issues and resolutions, and track work in CMMS.

Our client, a wastewater resource recovery organization, is seeking a Process Control System Analyst to join their team. As a Process Control System Analyst, you will be part of the Operations Technology (OT) environment supporting real-time plant control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical problem-solving skills, a commitment to accurate documentation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Elk Grove, California

Pay Range:$46.00 to $55.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Partner with the OT programming team to administer, maintain, and operate the real-time Plant Computer Control System (PCCS), including DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Diagnose and correct database and system issues by configuring database parameters for DCS/SCADA/PLC environments.
• Maintain reliable backup and archive retrieval processes for process control systems and related databases.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software failures across DCS/SCADA/PLC and associated networked environments.
• Document technical issues and resolutions, and track assigned work in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

What's Needed?

• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Programming/Networking, Industrial Automation; OR four (4) years of full-time experience in the administration, operations, and/or maintenance of industrial control systems (DCS, SCADA, PLC).
• Experience supporting Windows-based operating systems, including patch management and maintenance.
• Ability to support Windows Enterprise Domain administration, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate clearly with internal customers to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Experience maintaining accurate asset inventories and supporting process control system administration in an on-premises environment.
