Job summary

Precious Plate is seeking a Process Control Lab Technician to join our team in a full-time overnight role. The technician will monitor process solutions, ensure environmental compliance, and perform chemical analyses while adhering to ISO-related standards.

The position reports to the Process Control Lab Manager and requires the ability to work nights on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in a metal finishing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Advanced mathematical skills with proficiency in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Proficient with unit conversions and dimensional analysis.
• Ability to work independently and perform positively and cooperatively with others.
• Ability to hear, see, occasionally bend, stoop and kneel, stand for 8 to 12 hours per day, and push, pull or lift up to 50lbs as needed to perform essential job functions.
• Basic computers skills required.

Precious Plate is hiring a Process Control Lab Technician to join our team. As a Process Control Lab Technician, you will be responsible for process solution control and environmental compliance in accordance with ISO regulations. This is a full-time position, working from 6pm – 6am (overnights) on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule, reporting to the Process Control Lab Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Chemical analysis and production of process solutions
• Follow proper chemical handling procedures
• Precious metals conservation and recovery
• Operation of the wastewater treatment system
• Mount, polish, and read cross sections
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working Conditions

• Regularly works with chemical solutions
• Environment may be high in temperature depending on ambient outside temperature
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
• Safety glasses, steel or composite toe boots are required
• Other PPE may be required depending on responsibilities
• Could be exposed to background noise, odors, or dust
