  • Ability to work independently and lead in a team environment; willing to work extended hours as required.

GA-EMS’ expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process and Compliance Auditor to join our Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) Group located in San Diego, CA.
Under general supervision, this position supports the Operational Excellence department and is responsible for participating in process audits and corrective actions to ensure non-conformances are addressed and processes are continually improved across various GA-EMS site locations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in internal and external AS9100 audits, customer audits and assessments and other certification audits as required, across various GA-EMS sites
  • Participates in identifying audit scope and defining audit plan.
  • Responsible for obtaining objective evidence, report writing and associated documentation for all assigned audits.
  • Coordinates with related business areas to ensure process compliance and support

Job Qualifications
  • Typically requires a bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and three or more years of progressive professional project administration experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
  • Work experience relating to ISO 9001, AS9100 or other standard requirements.
  • US citizenship is required
  • Frequent use and general knowledge of quality management system requirements.
  • The ability to identify and interpret data.
  • The ability to develop and present detailed statistical reports and documents.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to explain information effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Good organization skills to maintain flow of work within the unit; the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of computer operations and applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 50%.
Job Type: Full-Time Salary
Salary range: 62,510 - 105,628
