Job summary

UT-Battelle in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Procedure Writer within the Isotope Science and Enrichment Directorate to develop and maintain procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, administrative, and nuclear requirements.

You will author and edit technical procedures and related documents, coordinate reviews, and support audits, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and proper formatting for diverse technical audiences.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 5-7 years of experience.
• Experience with procedure or other technical writing/editing.
• Familiarity with applicable requirements and ability to work in a nuclear environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain procedures, division-level plans, and program description documents.
• Develop new and revised administrative and technical procedures that comply with applicable requirements.
• Ensure procedures are technically adequate and written for the users’ qualifications and training.
• Coordinate reviews, approvals, and distribution of documents.
• Lead self-audits/self-assessments as directed.
• Maintain records and interface with records personnel.
