Job summary

Tenneco is seeking an experienced manufacturing equipment operator to support FTL, running all production equipment and performing production support tasks. The role involves casting, machining, loading, and automated lines with a range of equipment including Fanuc robotics and CNC lathes.

Candidate should be able to meet strict accuracy requirements, follow supervisor instructions, and participate in EHS activities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating casting and machining lines.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of tooling and gaging for quality control.
• Experience in production reporting and material handling.
• Familiarity with safety and EHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain tooling for casting line equipment.
• Set up, operate, and maintain tooling for cutoff machines.
• Set up, operate, and maintain automatic loaders.
• Set up, operate, and maintain tooling for the automated CNC line.
• Operate and maintain machining line equipment.
• Perform production support activities including reporting, inspection, packaging, shipping, and material handling.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and adhere to EHS requirements.

Typical Product, Processes Methods and Characteristics Involved

Melting and casting of molten metal and machining cast iron liners. Involves work requiring a wide degree of skill and above average job knowledge due to the variety of work.

Machines and Equipment Used

Casting machine, shot blast machinery, cutting machines, automatic loader, Fanuc robotics, CNC lathe, automated gaging, air leak tester, and component oiler.

Tools and Gages Used

Commonly used metric hand gaging, metric scales, automated gaging, and specialized tooling used on the various operations in the molding line and machining line.

Accuracy Requirements And Difficulty Meeting Them

Must know and meet all accuracy requirements on the product and be able to meet these requirements by using the proper tooling and gaging

Written and verbal instructions from supervisors, engineers, and managers. Detailed drawings, specifications, and layouts.

• Setup, operate, and maintain tooling for the Cutoff Machines.
• Setup, operate, and maintain Automatic Loaders.
• Setup, operate, and maintain tooling for the Automated CNC line
• Setup, operate and maintain machining line equipment
• Perform all production support activities including but not limited to;
• Production reporting
• Inspection
• Packaging
• Shipping
• Material handling
• Assist in Preventive Maintenance
• Adhere to and participate in all EHS requirements as applicable .
