Job summary

Williamsville Central School District is seeking a Probationary Teaching Assistant for Transit Middle School in East Amherst, NY. The position requires a New York State Certification in Elementary Education 1-6 or B-6 and involves delivering targeted instruction and MTSS coordination to support student progress.

Reports to Building Principal. Salary range: $36,345 – $41,350 per year under WTA Contract. Open to applicants meeting required citizenship/residency or work visa criteria.

Qualifications

• Must hold NY State Certification in Elementary Education 1-6 or B-6.
• Ability to assess student ability levels and enrich curriculum across subjects.
• Commitment to helping students achieve at the highest level on state/local assessments.
• Ability to collaborate with grade-level teams and school staff.
• Positive attitude with students and adults and willingness to provide extra help.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, supplemental instruction and support to students in ELA and/or mathematics.
• Deliver push-in or pull-out instruction for individuals or small groups using approved intervention programs.
• Collect and analyze formative assessment data, track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Meet regularly with classroom teachers, attend MTSS meetings and coordinate instructional goals.
• Update parents on student progress and participate in required district reporting.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Building Administration.
