Sacramento County Probation seeks a Deputy Probation Officer to conduct professional investigations of offenders or court referrals and to supervise probationers. The role includes involvement in custody, treatment, and counseling, with duties to prepare concise reports and maintain case records.

A four-year degree in social or behavioral sciences is required, plus relevant probation or casework experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in social or behavioral sciences.
• One year of relevant professional experience in probation, parole, or law enforcement OR social casework experience after degree.
• Equivalent of one year as Probation Aide or On-Call Probation with Sacramento County may apply.
• Proof of education/requirements may be required with application.
