Franklin County Court of Common Pleas is seeking a probation staff member to instruct offenders during pretrial and community control stages, and to assess risk/needs using validated tools. The role requires reviewing case information, providing referrals, and maintaining accurate case data in the management system.
You will work in a team with a focus on culturally competent practices, timely reporting, and adherence to department policies while safeguarding public safety and offender outcomes.
To instruct offenders regarding supervision at both the pretrial and community control placement stages; To successfully fulfill the essential job functions, one must be able to interact with accused and/or convicted criminal offenders; assess offender risk level by using appropriate assessment tools; make appropriate programming referrals; and, promote compliance through the use of evidence based practices.
