AdvantixxRCM is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) & Insurance Follow-Up Specialist to manage outstanding insurance accounts and aggressively pursue reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial payers.

The role involves investigating unpaid, delayed, denied, or underpaid claims, working aging reports, and ensuring timely resolution through effective payer communication and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing or insurance follow-up experience.
• Experience working insurance aging reports and payer portals.
• Strong communication with insurance companies and internal teams.
• Solid research and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CMS-1500 professional claims and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance A/R aging reports and pursue timely reimbursement.
• Investigate unpaid, delayed, denied, or underpaid claims and take corrective action.
• Research claim status via payer portals, clearinghouses, and phone inquiries.
• Document all follow-up actions and establish follow-up dates until resolution.
• Collaborate with billing, coding, credentialing, eligibility, and authorization teams.
