Job summary

The University of Oregon invites applications for its open instructor pool in the Product Design Program within the School of Art + Design. The role covers teaching design drawing (hand), 3D CAD and rendering (Rhino, SolidWorks), prototyping, UI/UX, design research methods, and design studios.

Positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to three years, contingent on program needs and performance. Master’s degree required; teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field required; significant professional experience may substitute in exceptional cases.
• Experience teaching in college/university settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach design drawing (hand), 3D CAD and rendering, prototyping, UI/UX, and related courses.
• Contribute to design studios and research methods courses.
• Commit to working with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
