Job summary

The University of Oregon's Department of Data Science seeks qualified individuals for Pro Tem Instructor positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate Data Science courses. Appointments are limited duration and may be renewable up to three years based on needs, funding, and performance.

Screening occurs as positions become available; successful candidates join a pool to be considered for upcoming teaching assignments across introductory to advanced data science topics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or other relevant field.
• One year of post-secondary instructional experience.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and service.
• PhD or advanced degree with significant professional experience in Data Science is preferred.
