Amelia National Golf Club is seeking a part-time Golf Shop Attendant (up to 20 hours/week). You will greet members, register golfers, process fees, assist customers with merchandise, and support daily Pro Golf Shop operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Register golfers for play and collect applicable fees.
• Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and assist with general inquiries.
• Assist guests with tee times and starting times as needed.
• Provide customer service and assistance on the Pro Golf Shop sales floor.
• Restock merchandise and maintain an attractive, organized Pro Golf Shop.
• Assist with monthly merchandise and inventory counts.
• Support golf outings, tournaments, and special events.
• Communicate with golf professional staff regarding daily operations and guest needs.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Attend required staff meetings and training.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

This position is responsible for welcoming golfers, registering guests for play, processing applicable fees, assisting customers with merchandise, and supporting the daily operations of the Pro Golf Shop.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or public-facing experience is a plus.
• Golf or Pro Shop experience is helpful but not required.

Work Environment

This position may involve working in both indoor and outdoor environments and may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and moderate noise levels.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, which may include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and using hands and fingers to handle merchandise, equipment, or other objects. The position may occasionally require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must regularly be able to safely lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
