Job summary

Jacksonville Area Legal Aid is seeking a licensed Florida attorney for its Pro Bono Deputy Director role. This full-time position is based in downtown Jacksonville with business hours 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and a hybrid work environment where applicable.

As Deputy Director, you will oversee pro bono programs, mentor staff, interview and counsel clients, and litigate cases in Federal and State court to close the justice gap and expand access to quality representation for low-income residents.

Qualifications

• Licensed Florida attorney for Pro Bono Deputy Director role.
• Experience in pro bono programs or legal aid is a plus.
• Ability to work in a hybrid office environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview and counsel clients in pro bono matters.
• Litigate cases in Federal and State court.
• Oversee the Pro Bono Unit and mentor staff.
