Job description

• Lead delivery of legal services through ICLS's pro bono program
• Oversee and direct pro bono projects, recruiting and training volunteers
• Supervise pro bono team including attorney and non-attorney staff
• Represent ICLS in pro bono initiatives and conferences
• Work with Community Engagement Team to recognize partners and volunteers
• Manage law firm and corporate partnership strategies
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and oversight of programs

Requirements

• J.D. degree and licensed to practice law in California at hire
• Passion for expanding access to justice and serving low-income communities
• Experience practicing law and supervising attorneys
• Commitment to inclusive practices and cultural humility
• Experience developing strategic partnerships
• Ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision
• Strong strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
• Effective ambassador for ICLS with stakeholders
• Strong writing, verbal communication, and public speaking skills
• Ability to recruit, train, mentor, and supervise staff and volunteers
• Experience with grants and working with funders preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel occasionally
