Job summary

The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in New York is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will assess and treat residents with various respiratory illnesses, initiate therapies, and maintain thorough documentation in a geriatric care setting.

The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in the state and capable of independent operation with a passion for improving residents’ experiences.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments on residents.
• Deliver in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follow facility procedures and protocols.
• Track, audit, and manage caseloads.
• Perform related duties as required.

Respiratory Therapist (RT) Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements Respiratory technique to maintain or rehab patient with many different Respiratory illness/diseases.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Schedule

• We are looking for a consistent weekend RT for:
  • 4- 8 Hours depending on caseload
  • EVERY Saturday and Sunday Coverage

Salary: $45 - $55 an hour
