The position requires active DC LPC/LICSW/LGSW licensure and at least two years in an adult psychiatric inpatient or related setting, with flexibility for a PRN schedule and weekend differential pay.

Qualifications

• Requires active DC social work license (LPC/LICSW/LGSW).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in adult inpatient psychiatric unit or substance use facility.
• Experience facilitating access to community resources and conducting therapeutic groups.

Responsibilities

• Maintains contact with nursing homes, medical-surgical units and other facilities to promote the program and educate about services.
• Provides ongoing communications with referral sources concerning patient status.
• Participates in agency training programs and in-services.
• Provides quality clinical documentation per Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication and teamwork across disciplines.
• Gathers and treats patients with psychiatric/behavioral health disorders and conducts psychosocial assessments.
• Develops interdisciplinary treatment plans and adapts to a fast-paced environment.
• Exhibits problem-solving and strong oral/written communication skills.
• Maintains CPI and BLS/CPR certifications as required.

Job description

Available shifts are 7 days a weeks and hours are 900am-530pm.

Major Duties and Essential Functions

• Maintains contact with nursing homes, medical-surgical units and other facilities and agencies to promote the program and to provide education regarding services available for their patients.
• Provides ongoing communications with referral sources concerning the status of patients referred into the program.
• Participates in agency-wide training programs and in-services.
• Provides quality and timely clinical documentation, per Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies’ requirements.
• Proficiency in interpersonal communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Experience and skill in treating patients with various types and presentations of psychiatric/behavioral health disorders.
• Proficiency in conducting psychosocial assessments.
• Proficiency in developing interdisciplinary treatment plans.
• Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
• Display proficient oral/written communication skills.
• Required to maintain an active annual CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
• Required to maintain an active biannual Basic Life Support Certification (BLS/CPR)

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in an adult Inpatient psychiatric unitand/orsubstance use facility and experience facilitating patients' access to community resources and conducting therapeutic groups.
• Must have an active District of Columbia LPC, LICSW, or LGSW

Compensation Information

Current PRN Rate of Pay $46.62/Hourly Rate with Additional Weekend differential of $7.00/ Hour.
