Job summary

The Hughston Clinic is seeking a technical ultrasound professional to operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and perform scans on various anatomical regions, including vessels and fetal imaging. You will report preliminary findings to the Radiologist and transfer images to PACS after ensuring quality.

You will review charts, log data, and provide relevant clinical information with exams. Requirements include graduate training in diagnostic ultrasound, six months of formal training, BLS, and

Qualifications

• Six months of formal training with hands-on clinical ultrasound.
• Graduate of an approved school for Diagnostic Ultrasound.
• Registry in Abdomen and OB ultrasound required within 2 years.
• BLS certification required.
• Vascular registry preferred.
• ARDMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ability to perform quality and timely routine diagnostic ultrasound studies and render accurate written summaries.
• Demonstrate ability to perform quality vascular studies.
• Assist radiologists during procedures by providing equipment and supplies.
• Maintain care and storage of probes and keep equipment clean.
• Complete and close out all procedures in the computer system daily.
• Participate in on-call schedule; respond within 30 minutes and arrive within 45 minutes.
