Job summary

AdventHealth in Lake Mary, FL is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in line with radiologist orders and protocols.

You will verify patient identity, position patients and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images, while documenting findings in EMR and maintaining infection control standards. Collaboration with radiologists ensures accuracy and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy required.
• Ability to use PACS and radiology software effectively.
• Must have patient care and communication skills for all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness; obtain history.
• Position patients and operate transducers to acquire optimal images.
• Document findings in EMR/PACS accurately and timely.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Maintain equipment safety and infection control practices.
• Collaborate with radiologists for image quality and interpretation.
