Job summary

Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle, NC is seeking a part-time, PRN ultrasound technologist to coordinate ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists and referring physicians.

You will perform exams in accordance with departmental protocols, provide patient care related to the study, operate ultrasound equipment proficiently, verify orders, report malfunctions, and keep the work area stocked and organized.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARDMS or ARRT(S) required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program preferred.
• BLS certification required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performance of invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exam and develops efficient techniques.
• Supports patient-centered care by meeting patient needs.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
• Operates radiology computer system to enter and charge exams and supplies.
• Maintains neat and stocked work area.
• Adheres to departmental rules and conducts oneself professionally.
