Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic sonographic procedures and obtain high-quality images for radiologist interpretation. You will work closely with patients, families, and interdepartmental staff to ensure accurate diagnosis and a positive patient experience.

The role emphasizes flexibility, adherence to PMC protocols, and maintaining excellent patient care across multiple locations within the PMC system.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in ultrasound or equivalent.
• RDMS registered or registry eligible.
• RVT registered or registry eligible.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Performing ultrasound procedures as ordered by PMC physicians.
• Obtaining diagnostic sonographic images by scanning the appropriate body part of the patient.
• Instruct patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
• Sending diagnostic ultrasound exams to the radiologist for interpretation.
• Assists in the transfer of the patient to and from a wheelchair to the exam table.
• Obtains essential information from patients, medical records, and previous scans for clinical correlation.
• Correlates pathological findings with sonogram results.
• Provide high quality care to patients and communities served.

Education
