Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our Orlando and Mt. Dora facilities. The role requires performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, maintaining high image quality, and communicating results to physicians.

You will float between sites as needed and cover shifts in a 30-day window, with flexibility and responsiveness to coverage requests. The ideal candidate holds an ARRT (S) or ARDMS credentials, 1–2 years ultrasound experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent; an

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
ARRT (S) and ARDMS certifications required.
CPR/BLS (ACLS where applicable) certifications.
1–2 years ultrasound experience.
Ability to work at several locations / local travel.
Strong customer service, organizational, multitasking, and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency with EMR, PACS and DICOM systems.

Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound exams and obtain diagnostic images as ordered by the physician.
Communicate imaging findings to physicians and health professionals.
Float between Orlando and Mt. Dora sites as needed and cover shifts per diem.
Maintain image quality and comply with company policies and procedures.
Assist licensed practitioners in exam procedures as applicable.
Complete site competencies and ongoing education as designated by leadership.
