Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic sonography and support radiology services at our Pinehurst, NC location. You will obtain images, instruct patients, and forward studies to the radiologist for interpretation, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Required qualifications include an associates degree in ultrasound or equivalent, RDMS or registry eligibility, RVT eligibility, and BLS certification or completion within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in ultrasound or equivalent.
• RDMS registered or registry eligible.
• RVT registered or registry eligible.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures as ordered by PMC physicians, NP’s, or PA’s.
• Obtain diagnostic sonographic images by scanning the appropriate body part of the patient, utilizing PMC protocols and appropriate imaging equipment.
• Instruct patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
• Sending diagnostic ultrasound exams to the radiologist for interpretation.
• Assist in the transfer of the patient to and from a wheelchair to the exam table.
• Obtains essential information from patients, medical records, and previous scans for clinical correlation.
• Correlates pathological findings with sonogram results.
• Being a key piece in the PMC mission by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and the communities we serve.

Education

Associates degree in ultrasound or equivalent
