Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to provide imaging support in the Surgery Center, collaborating with surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team to deliver high-quality images and patient care.

In this role you will operate fixed, mobile, and mini C-arms, ensure radiation safety, document imaging and maintain equipment, with compensation ranging from $25.00 to $37.50 per hour, and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Current ARRT certification required.
• Current Illinois radiologic technologist accreditation/licensure required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous operating room, surgery center, Cath Lab, or procedural imaging experience preferred.
• Experience operating C-arm and portable imaging equipment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, and imaging techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed, mobile, and mini C-arms, portable x-ray, cabinet x-ray, and other imaging equipment used during surgical and post-operative procedures.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety guidelines.
• Accurately process, label, transmit, and archive radiographic images.
• Maintain responsibility for imaging equipment, image quality, and radiation safety throughout procedures.
• Document patient care, treatments, and interactions accurately within applicable electronic medical record and procedural systems.
• Assist with preparation for surgical procedures, including Cath Lab procedures, as needed.
• Function as a monitor during diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the care team to support safe and efficient procedures.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, and organizational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Surgery Center operations.
