Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Indiana is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, prep, assembly, sterilization, storage and distribution of medical devices and supplies for patient care.
The role supports departments across all ages and requires a high school diploma. CRCST certification is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided. The technician works with limited supervision and contributes to Sterile Processing management.
Job Overview: Performs procedures in decontamination, preparation, assembling, sterilization, storing, and distribution of medical devices and supplies for patient care. Serves customers of all ages from newborn to older adults, related to the population of individual departments. Assists in orientation and training process of new technicians. Carries out appropriate duties without immediate supervision, acts independently and accepts responsibility of contributing to the management of Sterile Processing. Makes minor decisions and refers administrative decisions, using line of authority. Achieves cross training in all areas of Sterile Processing.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Certification/Licnese/Experience: CRCST preferred but not required.
