NHC HealthCare, Charleston is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for its Panama City operations. This role involves supervising therapeutic techniques for patients with speech, language, and hearing disorders.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and be licensed to practice in Florida. Responsibilities include supervising the Communication Disorders Service Department and conducting evaluations and therapy as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an approved curriculum in Speech Pathology, or equivalent.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• Licensed in the state(s) in which he/she will work.

The Speech‑Language Pathologist supervises and participates in the application of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech and language disorders, hearing disorders and oral myofunctional disorders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an approved curriculum in Speech Pathology, or equivalent.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• Licensed in the state(s) in which he/she will work.

Position Highlights

• Directs and supervises the Communication Disorders Service Department.
• Provides evaluations and therapy ordered by the referring physician and recommends an appropriate treatment program for approval.
• Evaluates, plans, and carries out therapy programs, including establishing goals for patients as referred and approved by the physician, with periodic re‑evaluations.
• Participates in the in‑service training program for HomeCare personnel.
