Job summary

Rehab Solutions at Home is seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide home health services in the East Texas region from the Longview area. You will assess, diagnose, and treat adults with voice, language, and swallowing disorders in patients' homes, with a flexible schedule that you help shape.

The role requires a degree in Speech Language Pathology, state licensure (or licensure eligible) and preferred ASHA CCC-SLP.

Qualifications

  • Requires degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist or licensure eligible.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing using standardized tests and observations.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies and monitor progress; adjust plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in the EHR.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Treatment and Education: Implement evidence‑based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
