Job summary

EXALT HEALTH in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Speech Therapist to support an interdisciplinary team focused on improving communication, swallowing, and cognitive function. You will evaluate, plan, and deliver therapy, and educate patients and families to sustain progress after discharge.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, and collaboration with rehab specialists in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required).
• CCC from ASHA (required).
• Current, unencumbered state license to practice Speech Therapy.
• BLS certification via AHA or Red Cross (required).
• 2 years inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop functional treatment goals.
• Design and implement individualized therapy programs utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Provide direct patient care in individual and group therapy sessions.
• Document progress in patient medical records and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure a cohesive treatment approach.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Participate in discharge planning to facilitate a smooth transition back to the community.
• Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
