Job summary

Addus HomeCare, Inc. in New Mexico seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Ambercare Homecare team in Belen, NM. This PRN role serves Belen and surrounding areas.

You will conduct evaluations, identify needs, establish care plans, administer diagnostic assessments, and provide direct speech therapy to clients.

Requirements include ASHA CCC, NM licensure, CPR certification, at least one year in acute care, and reliable transportation for home visits.

Qualifications

• ASHA CCC certification required.
• Licensed as a speech therapist in the practicing state.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of speech therapy principles and practices.
• CPR certification current.
• Ability to perform home visits with own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assess home environment as appropriate.
• Identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care.
• Administer diagnostic speech and language evaluations.
• Recommend communication devices or aids as indicated.
• Prepare reports of evaluations and recommendations.
• Provide direct speech therapy and report client progress.
