Job summary

Saint Meinrad Archabbey seeks PRN Registered Nurses to support the Monastery Infirmary. You will work 3 shifts in 6 weeks, with one weekend shift, assess and address patient treatment options, monitor services, and report grievances to Health Services Director.

You will administer medications, manage tubes, dress wounds, document records, and ensure safety and policy compliance for residents and staff. CPR-certified RNs with teamwork spirit are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Indiana is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to work as a team and have a positive, caring attitude.
• Ability to lift and move patients.

Responsibilities

• Work 3 shifts in 6 weeks with 1 weekend shift.
• Assess medical situations based on evidence to address treatment options.
• Monitor nursing services to respect residents' rights and needs; review records and report grievances to Health Services Director.
• Check vital statistics and related data including intake/output, charting and weight.
• Administer oral/topical medications, injections, NG/gastrostomy tube meds; change dressings and treat wounds.
• Consult with physicians and transcribe medical orders.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records.
• Ensure patient safety and that staff, residents and visitors follow policies.
