Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Ruskin, FL is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Infusion Center at SouthShore to deliver individualized cancer patient care in line with hospital guidelines and the ANA code of ethics.

The ideal candidate has BSN or ASN with relevant experience in hematology/oncology, Florida RN license, BLS, and chemotherapy certification; outpatient clinic experience preferred. This role supports our mission-focused team.

Qualifications

  • BSN or ASN from ACEN/CCNE with 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
  • Florida RN license or eligible for endorsement.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience in Medical/Hematology oncology outpatient clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
  • Educates patients and families based on learning needs.
  • Participates in evidence-based improvement activities and professional development.

Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice.Participates in professional development based on the nursing professional’s standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.Credentials and Qualifications:BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experienceFL RN LicenseBLS CertificationAn applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
