Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-level nursing care for assigned patients, following the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. The role supports the hospital's mission and values while delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a valid Texas RN license or eligibility, possess BLS certification, and have at least six months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of patient/family/significant other educational process.
• Communicates with team, coworkers, patients and families and evaluates understanding of information.
• Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and facility.
• Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Delivers safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Shows initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
• Uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Nursing degree
