Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Independence Family Health Center is seeking a PRN RN Ambulatory in Dermatology to provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, focusing on patient comfort and healthy outcomes.

You will assess health status, perform nursing assessments, conduct telephone triage, administer medications, initiate CPR, notify physicians of abnormal findings, support diagnostic procedures, educate patients and families, and travel regionally to cover clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• BSN preferred but not required.

• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN
• Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience for current Cleveland Clinic caregivers

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
