Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care on a 23-bed post-op unit. You will implement care plans, coordinate disciplines, and monitor patient conditions throughout the care journey.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• External applicants: two years of nursing experience.
• Internal applicants: < two years with probationary period approved.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and study.
