Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our community health center pharmacy. This per diem role covers PTOs and requires flexibility. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is essential for patient communication and care.

The candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and delivering medications, maintain safety standards, and support the team with routine tasks. A state license or national registration and PTCB certification are preferred, with 340B experience valuable.

• Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smartphones and tablets.
• 340B experience preferred.
• Bilingual - English and Spanish required.

Job description

Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company owned retail contract pharmacy. Our technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.

Pharmacy Technician (Community Health Center Pharmacy)

This is a per diem position mainly covering PTOs and requires flexibility.

Bilingual - must be able to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish.

Pharmacy Hours:

• Monday - Friday - Saturday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday: 8:30am - 7:00pm

• Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
• Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods

• Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
• Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor

• Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• State Pharmacy Technician license or national pharmacy technician registration/license required
• Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Strong customer service skills required
• Flexibility to work various shifts is preferred
• Comfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks is required
• Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smartphones and tablets
• PTCB Certification or ability to get certified within 180 days of employment
• 340B experience preferred
• Bilingual - Must be able to read, write and speak English and Spanish

Anticipated hourly range: $23.60per hour - $30.42 per hour
