Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to support critical care and procedural areas. The role requires an Associate degree, RRT and BLS, with 1+ CC experience preferred.

You will document procedures, collaborate with the care team, and respond to Code Blue emergencies, following safety policies and AHA CPR guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Field of study in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• 1+ critical care experience preferred.
• RRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in assisting with patient flow.
• Follows standard precautions and safety regulations per hospital policies.
• Interprets evaluations and test results to determine treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Responds to Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR per AHA guidelines.

Job Description:

*PRN as needed

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in assisting with patient flow.
• Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies.
• Interprets evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans in consultation with interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Responds to all Code Blue emergencies immediately providing CPR according to the American Heart Association and performs other duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Patient care skills to care for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations per hospital needs.
