Job summary

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital seeks a PRN Respiratory Therapist to support patient care across emergency, critical care and acute settings. The RT will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation and airway support, and participate in education for patients and families.

Expect exposure to advanced respiratory technology, mentorship, and a collaborative team. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, professional growth, and adherence to infection prevention standards

Qualifications

• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Care required.
• RRT - Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive modes.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and ensure readiness of respiratory equipment and uphold infection prevention standards.
