Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Texas Licensure: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• RRT certification (NBRC).

Responsibilities

• Performs and directs respiratory care services (oxygen, aerosols, inhaled meds, airway clearance, ventilation, spirometry) per physician orders.
• Administers CPR in emergencies.
• Reviews orders and patient data to select appropriate therapy; follows approved protocols.
• Performs routine and advanced respiratory therapy, prioritizing patient needs.
• Instructs patients on respiratory care equipment and monitors response to therapy.
