Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a PRN Respiratory Aide II to provide basic respiratory care to non-acute patients under supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities include performing arterial/capillary blood sampling, operating non-invasive devices, and assisting with therapies like aerosol treatment and incentive spirometry. Basic clerical tasks and inventory management are also required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in good standing with an AMA approved Respiratory Care Program or as a recent graduate (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Respiratory Care Limited Permit as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, draw arterial and/or capillary blood samples and perform quality controls.
• Set up and monitor non-invasive devices such as oximeters and end-tidal CO2 analyzers.
• Provide basic respiratory therapy techniques including aerosol therapy and incentive spirometry.
• Perform EKGs and understand lead placement and basic arrhythmias.
• Maintain and stock respiratory equipment and supplies.
