Job summary

University Health KC in Kansas City, MO is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. This part-time role supports pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting.

You will work with cardiologists during catheterizations, monitor real-time hemodynamics, and respond to emergencies with urgency. Required: ADN or BSN, MO RN license, BCLS and ACLS, and at least one year in a Cath Lab. Excellent teamwork and independent decision-making are essential.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri.
• Active BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least one year of prior Cath Lab experience.
• Strong working knowledge of the cardiovascular system and related procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with patients and teammates.
• Confidence and ability to act independently in fast-paced or critical situations.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a skilled and confident Registered Nurse to join our Cath Lab crew - where heart meets hustle, and every second counts. As a PRN Cath Lab RN, you won't just assist with procedures - you'll be a hands-on part of life-saving care. From prepping patients to supporting invasive cardiac and vascular procedures, to jumping into action with emergency interventions, your role is pivotal. Think intra-aortic balloon pumps, temporary pacemakers, and real-time hemodynamic monitoring - this is nursing at the highest level.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the State of Missouri.

• At least one (1) year of prior Cath Lab experience required
• Strong working knowledge of the cardiovascular system and related procedures.
• Excellent communication skills - you're clear, calm, and effective with patients and teammates.
• Confidence and ability to act independently in fast-paced or critical situations.

For this role, you must live within a 30 minute drive to University Health TMC (downtown Kansas City, MO) to be able to meet on-call requirements.
