LA Porte City Specialty Care, a Care Initiatives community in La Porte City, IA, is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse (RN). Shifts include PRN Days (5:30AM-2PM).

Join a compassionate team across 40+ skilled nursing communities in Iowa and help deliver high-quality care with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities include direct nursing care, medication administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing within Iowa or activation possible.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.
