Job summary

Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care on the ER unit. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with physicians and the health care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an Alabama or multi-state RN license, has BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and demonstrates strong critical thinking and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama or Multi-State License required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required (ACLS/PALS may be obtained within first 6 months).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and critical thinking are essential.
• 1 year ER nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Accurately assess needs of assigned patients with sound judgment and document timely.
• Develop plans of care with measurable outcomes and family involvement.
• Collaborate with physicians and health care team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise team members as needed.
• Support unit orientation and train new personnel.
