Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join the MedSurg team on the 7th Floor. You will provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver age-appropriate patient care.

The position requires an Associate's Degree and SC or Compact RN licensure with a current BLS certification. This hourly, 8-hour weekly assignment supports a professional practice model and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; RN licensure in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
• Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs.
