Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking an experienced PRN nurse for Recovery Services (PACU, ICU, or ER experience preferred). Eligible to participate in the State Retirement Program. This is a PRN/employee position with a standard 8-hour weekly schedule and hourly pay.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's Degree, RN licensure (SC or compact), and active BLS certification. Experience in PACU, ICU, or ER is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, and a minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
