Job summary

HKB Cosmetic Surgery in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our upscale plastic surgery center. You will support the nursing process, collaborate with physicians, and provide physical and psychological support to patients and families.

Shifts are 8-12 hours between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm as needed; requires PACU and OR circulating experience, an ADN; BLS and ACLS certification. A BSN is preferred; industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year PACU experience and 1 year OR circulating experience required.
• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Industry experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients and employees by infection-control policies and protocols.
• Helps preop patients prior to surgery, circulate during surgeries and recover patients post-surgery.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.

A bit about the position:

Promotes and restores patients' health for H/K/B patients by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. Shifts are 8-12 hours between the hours of 6:00 am - 6:00 pm, as needed.

What you can expect in the role:

• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Helps preop patients prior to surgery, circulate during surgeries and recover patients post-surgery.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

• 1 year of PACU experience and 1 year of OR circulating experience required .
• Associates degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
• Industry experience a plus.
